Campus Cutie: Hannah Lee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

Hannah Lee is the definition of a Campus Cutie, not only because of her adorable smile but also because of her admirable personality. She’s a character that the Laurier community will miss once she’s graduated. Find out more about her life at Laurier below.

Name: Hannah LeeYear: 4thProgram: Business Administration, Marketing  Hometown: TorontoRelationship status: Happily taken

Why did you choose Laurier?

I chose Laurier because of its phenomenal community. I think it’s incredible how family-like we all are. I mean, what kind of school has students that help each other out on individual assignments and tutors each other for exams? Bonus, everyone loves to wear sweatpants.

Where have you been involved within Laurier?

I’ve lived and breathed Laurier Marketing Association (LMA) and had the opportunity to be part of School of Business and Economics Students’ Society (SBESS), The Link, O-Week GO Team, 5 Days for the Homeless, Students’ Union BOD, SOS, and House Council!

If money didn’t matter, what would your ideal job be?

My ideal job would be one that is extremely challenging, like moving a business forward through a position in marketing. I would also like to have my own orphanage or NGO that works towards sustaining groups of people or an entire village!

What are you listening to?

I listen to Kari Jobe and Brooke Fraster. They calm my heart.

Top three movies?

     1. Big Hero 6 (I cried my eyes out in the theatres…three times)

     2. Tangled (I’ve watched this one too many times for me to admit, but it’s in the double digits)

     3. The Dark Knight (Because, Batman)

Looking back at the past four years at Laurier, what is your favourite memory? Would you do anything differently?

My favourite memory during my undergrad years was when I was a participant for 5 Days for the Homeless and we had to do the 24 hour fast. It was in the middle of a blizzard, I was so overwhelmingly exhausted, and I was hungry. In the midst of all my complaints, I came to realize what I was going through didn’t come close to what the homeless go through on a daily basis. From this experience, my complaints turned into prayers of thankfulness and I developed a passion to find a solution for homelessness.

What will you miss most when you graduate?

I’ll miss the community. I’ll miss having all of my friends live in the vicinity of a five-minute walk. I’ll miss seeing all my best friends on campus every day. I’ll miss the midnight strolls to get ice cream or coffee at Starbucks. I’ll miss complaining about the school work and hibernating in the clubs office all day. I guess I’ll miss a lot.

Make sure if you see this Cutie around campus you give her a wave! If you have someone you’d like to nominate for Campus Cutie, send us a message to our Facebook page!
