One can always find entertainment in the people you come across at the library. With just a short time of people watching, here are the main categories of people you will come across.
1. The loud eater
There’s always that one person on the silent seventh eating carrots. You weren’t thinking about food until now, but even their noisy carrots sound appetizing at this point
2. The one with the cold
It seems like the Laurier plague is always present on campus. The library is the most popular home of the infectious disease. Did that cough just fly through their cubicle and choose you as its next victim? Probably.
3. The aggressive typer
The final stretch of papers and assignments is a tough one to get through and frustration often comes out in the form of aggressive typing which is one of the most annoying sounds in the library.
4. The all-nighter
This one is a combination of Red Bull cups, various snacks, a pillow made of a folded up sweater, and large, large bags under the eyes.
5. The one who asks you to watch their stuff
“Hey, can you watch my stuff?”
“For sure!”
*30 min later and still no sign of them returning*
6. The caffeine fiend
That one cubicle full of Red Bull and coffee cups. Is there a person under there?
7. The people who think they can’t be heard because they’re in a study room
Unfortunately, we can hear everything that you are saying, and no I did not want to know that.
