The Business of Bras: The Bandeau

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Washington chapter.

The Bandeau bra was designed as a quick n’ easy strapless bra. Usually made out of a layer of fabric, the bandeau usually goes without cups and clasps and provides a little bit of support without the discomfort of a strapless bra. This bra is ideal for tube tops, with the added possibility of adding a peek-a-boo effect for anything low-cut (without looking like you’re just showing your bra off to the world).

Pro: As I said before, this looks more like a clothing item than an undergarment. Buy a colorful one and it looks like a camisole under your clothes!

Con: Not ideal for girls with larger boobs or a lot of activity. Since the bra is just a piece of cloth, it can fall down really easily!

HC Washington Opinion: I bought one, but had to wear a bra underneath anyways. Does that even make sense?
