Rankings of BD Stir Fry Toppings

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

Every Sunday, my friends and I journey to the Bears Den for our classic dinner after chapter.  We stroll through to explore our options but there is obviously only one option, our go to: stirfy. Cue *stirf dance*.  Every day, the options for stir fry changes.  But here’s my rankings for the stir fry toppings.

10. Cabbage

-the weird green shaved cabbage.  Does it taste like anything? Is there any nutritional value? Who knows. At least it looks pretty.

9. Garlic

– It does add a bit of flavor but it normally is just clumped together. :( no bueno

8. Corn

– Ok so personal opinion: fresh corn > canned corn, but again taste the rainbow, add a little bit of yellow and it really adds a pop of color.

7. Mushrooms

– Not a big mushroom fan but adding some of the sauces with it >>>

6. Peppers

– They have so many different colors of peppers and when they get charred, oooh amazing.

5. Shaved carrots

– Carrots are just such an easy go to.  Adds some color!

4. Spinach

– I feel like I’m healthy and cooked spinach is WAY better than just normal leafy spinach.

3. Sweet chili sauce

– Yes you put it on after, but its SO GOOD. MUST TRY. With noodles, it’s the best.

2. Butternut squash

– So this year, I got really into butternut squash.  I always put it on.  Never disappoints.

  1. Pineapple

–  BY FAR THE BEST STIRF TOPPING. So, this a newbie to the stirf toppings but 11/10 recommend. Slightly charred on the grill with the sweet chili sauce OMG amazing.
