It’s time to reflect on some of the best episodes of our favorite Disney Channel shows. What makes these episodes so special is the amazing (and sometimes completely random) guest stars. Here are some of my personal favs that will help you reminisce on the Golden Age of Disney Channel.
Selena Gomez on Hannah Montana
Before Selena was struggling to keep her hands to herself, she played our favorite pop-star’s arch-nemesis, Mickayla. Admit it, her chart-topping single “If Cupid Had a Heart” was stuck in your head for days after watching this episode. Seeing Hannah and Mickayla fight over Jake Ryan was probably one of the highlights of my childhood.
Aaron Carter on Lizzie McGuire
Remember when Aaron Carter was a thing? What a time to be alive. In this episode, Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo crash Aaron Carter’s Christmas music video shoot. This episode gets pretty saucy when Aaron and Lizzie meet under the mistletoe. 10/10 would recommend.
Zac Efron on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody
Boy toy named Troy spends a day at the Tipton Hotel? Count me in. Zac plays a super genius who goes on a date with London. However, in a surprising turn of events he ends up with Maddie. Wonder how Vanessa felt watching from the sidelines while Sharpay stole her man.
Shakira on Wizards of Waverly Place
I doubt even the produces of Wizards of Waverly Place could explain why Shakira was on this show. Trying to scoop up some younger fans? Wanted to meet Selly? My guess is she had some time to kill. In this episode, we learn that the woman we thought was Shakira was actually just Alex’s Uncle Kelbo… Whatever works Disney Channel. Shakira and Selena sing a fun and completely random duet of Gypsy. I recommend watching this one again because it’s pretty absurd.
Miley Cyrus in High School Musical 2
Perhaps one of the best cameos of all time takes place during the finale of High School Musical 2. And you thought Troy’s capri pants were the best part of this scene. While our favorite Wildcats are dancing to another song about togetherness and friendship etc, our good old pal Miley makes an appearance. Remember when we voted for a cast member of Hannah Montana to appear in HSM2? Great times.
