Alumni Weekend 2015: The Bucket List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

As the grads from Class of 2015 find their way back to campus for Alumni Weekend, it’s only natural to wonder what their big plans are for the next few days. Whether it’s about eating as much St. Louis BBQ as they possibly can or downing cheap drinks at BPV, these recent alumni are pumped to be back and have no intentions of taking it easy this weekend as they make their grand return.

Brooke Hamroff: “Def looking forward to eating my weight in Ted Drewes and Shaved Duck. And drinking my weight in CHEAP STL dranks at BPV, my one true love.”

Tarek Elhage: “Looking forward to seeing that everyone is exactly the same when they left and bickering with my AEPi bros.”

Rose Miller: “I am definitely looking forward to stuffing my face with a breakfast sandwich from Half & Half and then stuffing my face with as much pasta from Pastaria as humanly possible. Of course they are both food related, and I can assure you that both will happen. Oh, and I can’t wait to stand in a massive, probably rainy line just to get into Harry’s once more!”

Peter Bergman: “Facing a rack of ribs from Pappy’s but still drinking enough $3 gin-and-tonics at Harry’s to want tacos from the stand outside.”

Andrew Skalman: “Talaynas. Need I say more?”

Jen Li: “How about rekindling old loves? Kiss (or I guess high wive or woogie/woogie if they’re not single) your first Wash U hookup.”

Tim Cooney:

  • Sing ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’ by Thin Lizzy at Talaynas and proceed to Courtesy Diner for a slinger
  • Ride the bull at BPV
  • Convince freshmen that I’m considering coming to Wash U
  • Crowd surf a basement frat party (not sure if those even exist at Wash U anymore)
  • Meet the freshmen who live in my freshman year room and creep them out by saying all the weird stuff that happened in that room

Jennifer Gao: “I must go to Harry’s on Saturday. I’ve never made it during Alumni Weekend because of Thurtene!”

Max Schoenfeld: “Just some good St. Louis BBQ.”
