Her Campus (HC): Do you have any nicknames?
Spurge Carter (SC): Spurge is pretty unique so I don’t really need any nicknames.

HC: What activities are you involved with on campus?
SC: I’m a Multicultural Ambassador, but I’m also involved with Wake Radio, the Entrepreneurship Society and Sigma Epsilon Fraternity. I also drum and DJ in my spare time.

HC: What’s your favorite thing to do on campus?
SC: I like to DJ outside when the weather is nice and everyone is outside cruising.’

HC: Are you involved in anything off campus?
SC: I’m starting to DJ at Ziggy’s downtown. I’m trying to do college nights, but hopefully I’m going to start doing monthly dance music nights since it seems like everyone is really into that rave electro music right now. I’m really want to try to bring in artists every month too.

HC: And when can we start planning to flock to Ziggy’s to hear you?
SC: Hopefully within the next couple months. Everyone should be excited.

HC: A little birdie told me you will be the DJ for the President’s Ball!
SC: Yes!

HC: How did you get that?
SC: I’ve been DJ-ing for a bunch of different events on campus since I got here last year. I’m really excited to do the President’s Ball. It’s a really big deal around campus, so I’m glad to be a part of it. I hope everyone will have a good time and enjoy the event.

HC: If your life were a movie, what actor would play you?
SC: That’s rough. Hm, I don’t know. I’ve been told I look like Kid Cudi a lot (and he doesn’t do a lot of acting), so maybe him?

HC: What is your biggest pet peeve?
SC: I don’t like people that complain unnecessarily or often. Most things are able to work themselves out, you know?

HC: What is one thing you would bring if you got stuck on a desert island?
SC: My MacBook with my music applications. Not to contact anyone, just to be able to listen to music.

HC: Do you have a man crush?
SC: Celebrity or campus status?

HC: Oh! How about both?
SC: Celebrity status, I’m a huge Leonardo DiCaprio fan.

HC: I love him!
SC: Then we are in agreement.

HC: How about on campus?
SC: Nathan O. Hatch seems like a pretty cool guy. We could go to Shorty’s and drink beers or something.

HC: Boxers or Briefs?
SC: I’m kinda a boxer brief guy. They’ve got style and comfort. But sometimes I rock boxers.

HC: Do you know any good pickup lines?
SC: No, I’m terrible at those.

HC: Have you ever had a pickup line used on you?
SC: Not that I can recall, which is kind of disappointing.

HC: I’ll be sure to alert all the ladies.
SC: Thank you!
