Review of the Bed Head Hair TIGI Wax Stick

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

Slicked-back ponytails and buns seem to be all over the place these days. Whether it’s
while scrolling on TikTok or walking around campus, everyone seems to be trying to go with the
trend, myself included. I some did research on TikTok to find the best slicking-back product that
would keep all my hair flyaways gelled nicely in place. I found that the product that was
receiving the most attention was called the Bed Head TIGI Hair Wax Stick. I purchased it off
Amazon for $16.50 and gave it a try the very next day!

First, I used a brush to get all of my hair smooth and ready for slicking back. Next, I put
my hair up in a ponytail and got to work rubbing the wax stick all through the top of my hair and
especially over the sides, where there are often more flyaways. Lastly, I made sure to use the
stick under my hair at the bottom so that there would be no bumps in any part of the hairstyle.
I found the product to be incredibly effective and easy to use. I was worried that because
hairstyles are usually not my forté, doing a slick back ponytail would be too difficult. However, I
was happy to discover that the slicked-back look can be achieved in seconds using the stick
because it truly requires no prior hairstyling talent.

The only downside of the wax stick would be the day-after effects. My hair can hold the
wax in it even after a shower, which can make it difficult to style it in other ways or even brush
through. However, to me, the pros outweigh the cons and I would totally recommend it to anyone
who is looking to do this sleek and cool new hair trend!
