Paige Albright (’12)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

I am happy to introduce this week’s Campus Cutie…Paige Albright.  Paige is a stylish, business school girl who took Wake Forest by storm when she came from a ranch in small town, Texas. Paige serves as the Vice President of Kappa Kappa Gamma, loves philanthropy events (especially Project Pumpkin!), enjoys travelling, and is always down to have a good time.

Major: Finance
Hometown? Bellville, Texas
Words to live by:“On matters of style, swim with the current. On matters of principle, stand like a rock.” -Thomas Jefferson
Music on your ipod these days? Everything from Nicky Minaj to Pat Green to Coldplay . And I’m a sucker of the classics.
Dream vacation? Skiing. I’ve been in Chile and want to go to Argentina. Just being able to go skiing in the summer is pretty cool. And being from Texas I tend to want to escape 100+ degree weather rather than gravitate towards it.
Favorite place at wake? The Reynolda Trails during the spring.
Best concert youve ever been to? Lady Gaga in Barcelona, Spain. Fabulous, literally. Or any concerts on 6th street in Austin, Texas (the live music capitol of the world). Totally wishing I was at SXSW right now.
Biggest fear? Sharp objects. I have to cover my eyes during operating scenes on TV. Filming the slicing and dicing is completely unnecessary. You will not catch me watching 127 Hours, either.
If you could be anyone (living or dead) for a day, who would it be and why? Hermione Granger, specifically for the purpose of using her Time Turner so I could efficiently fulfill Wake Forest’s unofficial motto of “Work Hard, Play Hard.”
Favorite dessert? Funfetti cookies, which I learned about through Miss Laura Grace Carroll herself. The tastiness of a funfetti cake cupcake in the form of the best kind of dessert ever, the cookie; it can’t be beat.

Kelsey Garvey is a junior English major at Wake Forest University. Her upbringing in Connecticut, otherwise known as country club land, inspired her to write in order to escape and locate something more. Writing has also acted as her outlet to dabble in subjects far beyond her my intellectual capacity: art, culture, design, fashion, photography, and music. Other than reading Vogue and Vanity Fair cover-to-cover, Kelsey enjoys frequenting the blogosphere, speaking franglais in daily conversation, and laughing at her own pathetic jokes. Feel free to email her with any questions or comments.
