Must-Have Hair Dryer For A Quick and Polished Look

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

I’m not one to post product reviews or experiment when it comes to hair and beauty, but one product you’ll want to grab post-quarantine is the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer. Basically, this product is a blow dryer and straightener combined. It makes it super easy to give yourself a blowout at home, and it isn’t something that will break the bank. Here are my three steps to using the product, and some tips as well!

  1. First, you’ll want to wash your hair and take a regular blow dryer to quickly dry just your roots. This step isn’t 100% necessary, but it helps give extra volume on the top of your head and in your roots. I’ve found that when I haven’t done this first step my hair looks a little flap on the top, so I just take like 5 minutes to do this.

  2. After your roots are semi-dry, section your hair and take the Revlon brush and run it through your damp hair, taking extra care on the ends. You might have to go over the ends several times to get it to curl at the bottom the way you want, but other than that it dries your damp hair and makes it straight at the same time. I like to curl my hair under as opposed to an outward flipped curl in the front, but I vary it and do both in the back. Honestly, you can’t really mess it up because it’s all about personal preference.

  3. In total, it takes me anywhere from 10-20 minutes to finish and get my hair completely dry. After it’s dry, you can wear it however you want!

I’d recommend this product because, first, I am super lazy when it comes to doing anything hair related. When I have an event to get ready for, this hair dryer makes it quick and easy to achieve a different look. Second, it’s foolproof, and you can’t mess it up. I also think it’s sold at a reasonable price compared to many other hairdryers, flat irons, and hair styling tools. It essentially combines several devices into one, making it a must-have tool!
