Join Us For a *Free* #GirlBoss Event on Sept 11

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

Who wants to crush the *butterfly* feeling in your gut when you hear the question, “So what do you want to do after you graduate?”  Her Campus Wake Forest is proud (and excited!) to host a *free* workshop hosted by the The Brand Girls to teach us how to build professional confidence and network in order to land our dream jobs! This event will take place in Annenberg Auditorium in Carswell Hall on September 11 at 4pm.

What is The Brand Girls? This company’s goal is to close the professional confidence gap. They teach women to define their personal brand and how to present it on every.single.platform from resume help to guidance with LinkedIN along with fine tuning your personal pitching to how to gain mentors.  Why do we need The Brand Girls to come speak to us? The Brand Girls statement reads, “We live in a day and age where men overestimate their abilities and women underestimate theirs. Women are 4x less likely to ask for a raise compared to a male colleague and when they ask, it is for 3x as less. We live in a society where women lack a crucial trait to success: professional confidence. And let us tell you something… we are not sitting on the sidelines.”

The Brand Girls has already presented at 97 universities. This program is carefully curated for any college woman who wants to take control of her future. Freshmen and sophomores are also encouraged to join- it’s never to early to start building their professional confidence!  This free event is open to all Wake Forest students, and we hope to see you there on September 11 at 4pm in Annenberg Auditorium!
