VS Pink Party #PinkTakesTech

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Virginia Tech chapter.

Thursday, September 13, Virginia Tech students enjoyed a party hosted by Victoria’s Secret PINK after winning the Collegiate Showdown last year. Hundreds of students gathered on the Drillfield that afternoon to play games, win freebies, admire the VS models Elsa Hosk and Jessica Hart, and most of all enjoy the musical performances. DJ Irie played some of the Hokies favorite songs, including, “Enter Sandman,” and even chanted the classic cheer, “LET’S GO HOKIES!”. The concert started with a surprise opening performance from New York rapper, Theophilus London. Theophilus hyped up the crowd, and at one point even rocked the VT snapback. Chiddy Bang was next up to perform and they did not disappoint. Chiddy played their top hits, “Opposite of Adults” and “Mind Your Manners,” and even performed an impromptu freestyle using phrases taken from the crowd. The last performance of the night was from none other than Gym Class Heroes. Lead singer Travie McCoy crooned the audience with the classics that we all know and love such as “Clothes Off” and “Girlfriend,” and their radio hits, “Stereo Hearts,” “A$$ Back Home,” and “The Fighter,” Overall, I would say that the Hokies had a pretty good night!
