One of the most exciting parts of college life is exploring all the different clubs and organizations on campus. This is where we get to meet new people, discover new passions, build our network, and work towards group goals. Virginia Tech has around 800 student organizations that offer amazing experiences and opportunities in multiple areas of interest. In honor of Women’s History Month, here are five female student organizations to check out and join at Virginia Tech.

Her Campus At Virginia Tech

Her Campus is the number one online magazine for college women. The chapter here at Virginia Tech is elite-level status and strives to empower Hokies daily through articles, brand partnerships and giveaways, interactive events, and an encouraging and aesthetic social media presence. Her Campus at Virginia Tech has a writing team, an editing team, a street team, and a social media team. The writing team is responsible for creating articles that will be posted on the official website. The editing team is responsible for reviewing the grammar, punctuation, style, and mechanics of the articles to ensure that they are ready for publishing. The street team is responsible for planning and executing events throughout the school year. The social media team manages and maintains our social media presence on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. Applications open at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters for all team positions. Her Campus at Virginia Tech is a great student organization to meet amazing women, learn skills such as content creation and media marketing and management, build your resume, and even gain internship credit throughout the school year.
