Fifteen Festive Drinks For All Your Holiday Cheer

Fifteen drinks which are sure to compliment all of your holiday festivities!

 

These drinks are perfect for your Thanksgiving feast:

Pumpkin Pie Martinis

1 vanilla wafer, crushed, optional

Ice cubes

2 ounces vanilla-flavored vodka

2 ounces milk

2 ounces heavy whipping cream

1 ounce

1 ounce hazelnut liqueur

1/8 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Dash ground cinnamon

If a cookie-crumb rim is desired, moisten the rims of two cocktail glasses with water. Place cookie crumbs on a plate; dip rims in crumbs. Set aside. Fill a mixing glass or tumbler three-fourths full with ice. Add the remaining ingredients; stir until condensation forms on outside of glass. Strain into two chilled cocktail glasses. Makes2 servings.

 

Cozy PAMA Cider
2 oz. PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur
3 oz. hot mulled apple cider
Cinnamon
Superfine sugar
Orange spiral

 

Jolly drinks for your Christmas season:

Peppermint Cosmo

1 cup pomegranate juice

Juice of 1 lime

4 ounces of vodka

¼ teaspoon of peppermint extract

8 ice cubes

8 mini candy canes

2 tablespoons of chopped, fresh mint

Combine juices, vodka, peppermint and ½ cup water in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into 8 shot glasses. Garnish with candy canes and mint.

Makes 8 servings.

 

Holiday Glogg
12 oz. SKYY vodka
1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
1.5 tbsp. mulling spices
1 tsp. fresh orange zest
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. blanched almonds
4 tbsp. raisins
Wrap mulling spices in cheesecloth. In a large saucepan, combine the wine, SKYY vodka, cheesecloth with mulling spices, orange zest, and sugar. Allow to very lightly simmer over medium heat for at least 30 minutes (do not boil). Discard the mulling spices. Drop a few raisins and almonds at the bottom of each mug and top with the hot liquid.
 

Mocha Nog Punch
10 parts Kahlúa Mocha
5 parts Absolut Vanilla
20 parts eggnog
Combine ingredients and serve in a punchbowl with a floating ice block.
Hint: Freeze ice with coffee beans for decoration.
 

Bloody Martini
This cocktail is perfect for a holiday brunch!
1.5 oz. Belvedere Cytrus
Dash simple syrup
Dash lemon juice
Dash Tabasco
6 cherry tomatoes
In a shaker glass, muddle tomatoes with the lemon juice and simple syrup. Add rest of ingredients and shake with cubed ice. Fine strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a cherry tomato speared with a basil leaf.
 

Depaz Winter Mojito
8-10 mint leaves
6-8 cranberries
1/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1 1/2 oz. Depaz Cane Syrup
1 3/4 oz. Depaz Blue Cane Amber Rhum
Mix ingredients in a cocktails shaker with ice and shake vigorously. The cranberries will deliver the reddish color as they break open during the shaking. Strain the contents into a tall highball glass that contains fresh ice. Add a few whole cranberries. Garnish with a mint sprig and coat the top of the mint sprig with powdered sugar.
 

Tinsel Bellini
2 oz. HPNOTIQ
1 oz. limoncello
1 oz. Champagne
Splash of lime juice
Rim the Champagne flute with a light coat of sugar. Pour chilled HPNOTIQ, limoncello, and Champagne into the champagne flute. Add a splash of lime juice.
 

Marnier Chocolate Bonbon
1 oz. Grand Marnier
1/2 oz. Don Julio Anejo Tequila
3 oz. hot chocolate
Layer of fresh cream
Combine Grand Marnier, tequila, and hot chocolate in an Irish coffee (or small wine) glass. Layer 1/2 inch of hand-whipped cream over the top.
 

Ginger Drop
1 1/2 oz. Bacardi Limón
1 oz. Lillet
Champagne
Fresh ginger
Muddle fresh ginger with Bacardi Limón and Lillet; pour into Champagne glass. Top with Champagne and garnish each glass with a piece of crystallized ginger, which can be purchased at a gourmet store.
 

Merry Christi
2.5 oz. Christiana vodka
2 tbsp. hot chocolate mix
2.5 oz. milk
Mix ingredients together and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
 

Yuletide Punch
750 ml Sobieski Polish Vodka
4 cups chai tea (sweetened according to taste)
4 cups clear apple juice
2 whole orange cut in slices
2 whole red apples cut in slices
1-2 tsp. orange bitters (optional)
16 servings
 

Mulled Merlot

4 cinnamon sticks (3 inches)

4 whole cloves

2 bottles (750 milliliters each) merlot

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup orange juice

1/2 cup brandy

1 medium orange, thinly sliced

Place cinnamon sticks and cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag.

In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the wine, sugar, orange juice, brandy and orange slices. Add spice bag. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour or until heated through. Discard spice bag and orange slices. Serve warm. Makes 9 servings.

 

Ring in the New Year with these glamorous drinks:

Belvedere Sparkle
1 oz. Belvedere Vodka
2 oz. cranberry juice with ice
1 oz. Moët & Chandon Champagne
Shake vodka and cranberry juice with ice. Strain into chilled martini glass and top with Champagne. Garnish with raspberries.

Chambord & Champagne
2 1/2 oz. Chambord
Champagne
Raspberries, for garnish
Add Chambord to bottom of flute glass and top with champagne. Drop in a raspberry for garnish. Quick and easy but glamorous all the same.
