I don’t know about you but my For You page is filled with Josh Hutcherson content because of the new Five Nights at Freddy’s movie. The edits are good, but can we say the same about the movie? Warning: I will be spoiling the whole movie.
The lore behind Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) is very important to the movie, but it’s not explained very well in the movie. The lore of the games is very different from the movie, but here’s a simple rundown. William Afton opened a pizza restaurant and arcade that had these giant animatronics that would perform songs for the kids. Fun idea, right (not really), but it goes terribly wrong when William Afton decides to start killing children. He would kill kids by putting them inside the animatronics. Their bodies would then decay inside them and their spirits would possess them. William controlled the kids by brainwashing them to kill people.
In the movie, Mike, who is played by Josh Hutcherson, is hired as the overnight security guard at Freddy’s. Throughout the movie, Mike is trying to figure out who kidnapped his brother when they were kids, so he essentially tries to lucid dream every night so he can figure out who did it.
The movie was very predictable and I hated the little sister but we all know the main attraction is Josh Hutcherson. Mike’s character is constantly stressed and can’t hold a job but he’s a good brother and cares about his sister more than anything. Normally I wouldn’t care about a movie like this but knowing Josh was in it I had to watch, and I’m glad I did because I’m officially in my Josh Hutcherson era.
I am claiming 2023 as the year of Josh Hutcherson. People are starting to pay attention to him again with the release of FNAF. This was his first big box office movie in a few years and it is bringing attention to how funny, talented and attractive he is.
The timing of this could not be any better with the release of the new Hunger Games movie happening this month. Whoever did the planning for the new Hunger Games is a marketing genius. People quickly ran out of Josh Hutcherson content from FNAF and moved on to his older movies and are making Hunger Games edits again. This is getting people more excited for the new movie and people are watching the old ones to prepare.
I think Josh Hutcherson is about to enter a new phase of his career where he can be seen as a mature actor while playing roles that appeal to younger audiences. All I have to say is look out for his new work in the next few years and look up Josh Hutcherson edits on TikTok. You won’t be sorry.
