Then & Now: Red Hot Chili Peppers

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at VCU chapter.

Over the years, the VCU campus has been a popular concert venue for up-and-coming artists.

Nearly 27 years ago, on April 14th, 1989, the Red Hot Chili Peppers held a concert at Shafer Court.

The Shafer Court Stage was used for weekly rock concerts, protests, lectures, and art shows from 1960 until its demolition in 2002. It has since been turned into the Shafer Court Dining Center we all know and love.
