Emily Gerber is a sophomore and a member of the editorial team here at VCU. The RVA native first joined Her Campus because she was looking for a fun way to explore her love of writing, meet friends and get involved around campus. As a writer for Her Campus, she enjoys writing about social issues, especially things that involve women’s empowerment.
In free writing though she enjoys writing stage plays, which lines up fairly well with her impressive course load as a double major in Mass Com Creative Advertising and English and a minor in French. In her free time she loves to watch movies, travel, read, sing and “dream about all of the dogs [she] will own later in life. Outside of Her Campus she takes voice lessons, teaches drama to kids at a local performing arts studio and tutors children in reading comprehension. Overall we’d say she’s on the right track to achieving her goal of being a combination of an actress, Disney princess and veterinarian.
