What a Girl REALLY Wants for Valentine’s Day

Girls, print this out and leave it in an obvious place your guy will see. He’ll think he’s clever for finding it, and you can actually get what you want for V-day!

Guys- girls can be tricky and mysterious. As such, most of my guy friends struggle with buying a gift for their girl. Yes, the heart-shaped boxes of chocolate and teddy bears never fail, but you could make her Valentine’s Day extra special by grabbing one or two of the following gifts!

1.     It’s true. Every girl loves flowers. No matter what type of bouquet, it’s wonderful to wake up in the morning to a vase full of blooming petals. It shows that you care and makes her whole week special.

2.     Remember that scene in No Strings Attachedwhere Ashton Kutcher brings Natalie Portman a balloon? Do it. If some guy walked up to me with a few balloons, it would make me feel like the star of a party.  It’s original, flirty, fun, and potentially cheap, provided you hit up the dollar store for said balloons.

3.    Jewelry.  Yes, 99% of girls secretly want that little bit of sparkle. It doesn’t have to be huge, although bigger is almost always better. But girls love opening those little boxes and finding something that really takes their breath away. Plus, jewelry is something your girl can wear every day and show off as a present from her thoughtful boyfriend (note- this could be you).

4.    Surprisingly, girls really do love handmade gifts.  It can be anything: a popsicle stick frame, a handwritten letter, a home-cooked meal. Make it special and show her that you spent your time working on something just for her. The cheesier, the better. Channel your elementary school Valentine’s Day crafts for a win.

5.    As I hinted before, every single girl loves pictures. Print out a cute picture of you two and pop it in a frame to win her heart. Pictures never go bad and never make one fat, because in almost all cases, those boxes of chocolate you give her are gone within the day. It captures a perfect moment, making a perfect Valentine’s Day.

6.    Honestly, girls really just want your time. Make her a coupon book of cute things you can do together. She wants to feel close to you and spend time with you. If you designate a night just for her, it will make her feel loved.

I hope you take some of these ideas into consideration and make this Valentine’s Day a success!
