Inside our Back-to-School Survival Kit

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Vanderbilt chapter.

A few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to receive a Back-to-School Survival Kit from Her Campus packed full of exciting goodies! Our staffers were especially excited to see a multitude of BOGO gift cards for Chipotle, as well as some really cute underwear packaged in cupcake boxes from Affinitas & Parfait. Here are some of the highlights from our kit!

Chipotle BOGO Burrito Gift Cards: What better incentive to ask someone to eat with you than buy-one-get-one-free burritos? Thanks, Her Campus, for making us that much more popular with the boys on campus!

Mini LUNA Bars: We got these last year and were WAY too excited to see them in our box again! The minis are the perfect size for taking the edge off when you’re on the go and won’t have access to food anytime soon. They’re also small enough to fit in a going-out bag… which means that LUNA bars are the new drunchie for HC staffers. At least they’re healthier than pizza!

Affinitas Cupcake Panties: So these are adorable. We got so many cute prints and styles, and they were all packaged in little cupcake boxes! Actually thought they were food at first! They’re so adorable, they almost help me get past my phobia of the word “panties.”

Aeropostale Gift Cards: In the past, Aeropostale was viewed as a sort of knock-off American Eagle meant for kids in middle and high school. But the brand has gone through a major overhaul, and they’re trying to rebrand to be more college-friendly. We love their new marketing slogan: “Are you who you were a year ago?” And we’re definitely heading out to the nearest Aero to stock up on cute finds like these $14 leggings.

Nasty Gal Accessories: We had to fight over who got to keep the Nasty Gal water bottle! In the end, our assistant editor (who was pictured on Twitter) won it. We also got some cute Nasty Gal Edu pins to put on our backpacks and tote bags. Too cute!

Clue App Download Cards: Clue is a really cool new app for girls who need some help tracking their period cycles. We’ve all had those moments of panic where we think we’re late but we’re not quite sure- Clue takes all of the anxiety and stress out of your period for good! Even if you’re on the pill and know exactly when your start/end dates are, you should still download Clue, as it tells you some other interesting info, such as when you’re most fertile and when you’ll start experiencing PMS symptoms. Cool, right?

European Wax Center coupons: A lot of us used these before fall break to get hair-free for prime-time bikini wearing on the beach. We love European Wax Center!

Stacey Oswald, originally from South Florida, came to Vanderbilt as a member of the class of 2015 and got involved with HerCampus her freshman year. She became assistant editor that year and is now the Campus Correspondent for Vanderbilt HC as a sophomore. Stacey is currently a columnist for Ask Miss A- Nashville and the life section of The Hustler. She's also very involved in her sorority, Kappa Delta, as well as Invisible Children. Outside of school and her extracurriculars, Stacey finds happiness in many sources, the most crucial being exercise and the sun. She loves to attend exercise classes and is an avid runner; she recently completed the Country Music Half Marathon. She also loves Vitamin D, especially when on the beach- though of course, she only soaks up the sun after applying SPF. A few of the things Stacey couldn't live without? Good food (especially from Sweet Cece's, Bricktops, and Samurai Sushi), great books (The Hypnotist's Love Story is a recent favorite), her family back in Florida, her wonderful boyfriend, and all of the great friends she's made at Vanderbilt.
