I’m a suburban girl. People from the city think I’m a country girl and people from the country think I’m a city girl. Nope, I’m a suburban girl and until the winter break I thought I was always going to be a suburban girl–you know raising a family and all that, until I went to New York City. It was my first time visiting the “Big Apple” and I had fallen in love with it. I guess you could call it love at first sight.
The busy streets with the bright lights, the people who minded their own business, the different parts of New York that you can explore were just amazing. I use to not like going into the city near my hometown because it wasn’t New York. I always told myself that I was going to live in Los Angeles, California when I got older but just visiting New York had changed my mind. Of course, if I moved to New York, I would have to learn my way around the city. New York is pretty big and you can easily get lost in the city. I would probably take the subway to work every day just because it’s faster and cheaper.
But if or when I do move to New York, I will always be a suburban girl at heart.
