Non-organic tampons contain harmful ingredients including: chlorine (tampons go through a bleaching process to make them white), dioxin (one of the most deadly toxic compounds present in humans), glyphosate (linked to cancer), polyethylene (can flood your body with toxins like lead and mercury), polypropylene (found in antifreeze and ink) and rayon (a cellulose fiber that comes from processed wood pulp).

This extensive list of harmful chemicals is being inserted (or laid underneath) your lady parts multiple days every month! Have you ever wondered why women can go into toxic shock if they wear a tampon for too long? Is that not a concerning warning for a product we have to use every month?

Organic feminine products are biodegradable and hypoallergenic, doesn’t contain any ingredients that are harmful to your body, and they are BPA-free! Those reasons should be enough to have you dumping your old tampons into the trash!

But here’s another important reason that we should consider: these products are made by women!

Who could we better trust to understand what women need in their bodies, other than women?

If you’ve been convinced to try organic tampons and pads, I have 3 brands that I have either personally tried or that I’ve heard great reviews about that I think you guys would love!

Cora  – https://cora.life/

I switched to Cora pads/tampons 3 months ago and I love it! It’s affordable and I feel so much safer while using them. They’re also super comfortable and light weight, while still providing the same amount of protection as traditional feminine products! $16 for 36 pads!

The Honest Company – https://www.honest.com/bath-and-body-products/cotton-tampons

I have personally never tried this brand, but I’ve heard nothing but amazing things from people! This company is 100% organic, hypoallergenic and breathable. $6 for 20!

Diva Cup – https://lunapads.ca/collections/divacup?redirected_us

I can not WAIT to try the Diva Cup! Not only is it safer for women, but it is also reusable! The Diva Cup can be washed and used again and again. This means women would be saving so much money every year. It provides 12 hours of protection, comes in different sizes according to age, and is just an all-around great product. $30 for one!
