Life During Finals Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.

You sit down to study and your thoughts are…

But you decide pouting gets you nowhere so you might as well get started…

After a few hours of vigorous studying, you feel like you’re really getting somewhere…

So you decide to test yourself and realize that you weren’t doing as well as you thought…

Feeling discouraged, you turn to the one thing that never lets you down…

That spicy chicken sandwich you had in the Union gave you just the fire you needed to get started again…

But as soon as you get your head in the game, your friends come to bother you…

Having fun sounds like, well, fun! But you know you really should stay in and do the right thing…

After much debate you put on your YOLO hat and decide to go out. Since it’s Dead Day tomorrow, you make a promise to yourself that you’ll spend all day in the library. Plus you derserve it, you’ve been studying like a slave!

While you’re out enjoying yourself you feel even better about your decision to ditch the books…

But in the midst of your drunken-happy state you realize this probably wasn’t the best of ideas…

So you decide to go home and get some rest, with plans to wake up bright and early to get started…

But when bright and early arrives at 8 o’clock sharp you’re like…

But you planned on waking up like…

So you locate some coffee to help you get the boost you need to get going…

Now it’s really time to get down to business. Playtime is over…

You lock yourself up and turn off anything that could distract you…

There’s a review session tonight and that sounds like a great plan. But throughout the whole session you’re just like…

So it’s back to studying on your own. You’ve been at it forever it seems like…

This is getting a bit overwhelming…

You’re feeling a lot more confident now, but on the inside you’re like…

The test is tomorrow and the only emotion that can be displayed is…

So you pull an all-nighter just to make sure you’ve covered everything…

The day of the final has finally arrived. You get to school like…

You walk in like…

You walk out like…

The first thing that comes to mind is…

You call your parents to update them and they ask you how finals week was…

Then the rain finally clears, you see the rainbow and the sun is finally shining again. Why? Because finals are finally over and summer is beginning!

Hang in there, ladies! Summer is so close we can taste it, but it’s not quite here yet. Stick it out through those finals! All the hard work will be worth it in the end. Happy finals week! May the odds be ever in your favor!
