Can you believe it? We’ve already reached fall, and with the season beginning to change I know you’re dying to find some fun things to do! Fall itself is the most beautiful time of the year. Not only are the leaves changing to glazed yellows and oranges, but also there’s that chill breeze gusting through the air. Since we are going to have perfect weather, I’m giving you several perfect activities to do. Tis the season!

1. Have a bonfire

Bonfires are the perfect way to mingle and hangout with friends and family. Choose an evening on the weekend and plan to bring blankets, chairs, and lots of marshmellows! Bonfires are a nice and cozy way to spend a chilly fall night. Can you think of anything better than friends and smores?

2. Bake sweets

Nothing can compare to some sweet treats and goodies! Get your friends together to bake something for those sweet-tooth cravings! You could bake a cake, pumpkin bread, cupcakes, or even just something as simple as cookies. Sweets always seem to hit the spot and don’t hold back on the milk either!

3. Go to a corn maze

If you’re ever looking for something interesting and fun, try googling local corn mazes near you. As soon as fall hits a lot of these attractions open up to us all throughout the fall season and they even sometimes carry over to early winter! Get out of the house, and don’t be afraid to challange yourself in these neat obstacles!

4. Try various pumpkin recipes

When I think of fall, I almost immediatley picture pumpkins! Fall and pumpkins go hand in hand, so whats better than trying to make different recipes with pumpkins! Here’s a list of some pumpkin recipes you could try!

  • pumpkin pie
  • harvest pumpkin soup
  • pumpkin waffles
  • pumpkin and cream cheese muffins
  • pumpkin coconut curry
  • pumpkin chili

5. Go on a hay ride

When it comes to fall, hay rides are absolutley essential! Hay rides can usually be found near your local pumpkin patch or corn maze. Grab your friends and family and enjoy some time in this attraction! Beware, there are some haunted hay rides as well!

6. Grab some coffee

When I say grab coffee I literally mean exactly that. Go to Starbucks or try a hole in the wall spot and just grab a coffee. Don’t be afraid to try the seasonal flavors and ask what their specialties are. Not a coffee fan? Settle for tea or hot chocolate and pick and choose from several flavors as well.

7. Head to your local fair

Now, I don’t know about you but I wait all year for the fair. Fairs are fun and give people of all ages something to do! They have various thril rides, lots of games and prizes, and don’t even get me started on the funnel cakes and fried oreos. Although, fairs aren’t relatively cheap you may get lucky and score an unlimited ride pass and just have to pay for a meal at the fair’s many food trucks. Also, don’t forget to bring cash, because most fairs don’t accept debit or credit cards. However, some do have ATM machines either on the fair grounds or within walking distance.

8. DIY arts and crafts

Getting crafty is always a fun way to enjoy some quality time with your fellow friends! There are so many neat DIY projects you can try as well, and here are some examples!

  • fleece blankets
  • pumpkin carving/decorating
  • build a scarecrow

9. Watch a Halloween movie

Fall is the prime time for scary movies whether its in theaters or a movie night in! Have a scary movie marathon and cuddle up with your besties and see the fall effect unfold infront of you! Here are some good halloween movies to watch with friends and family!

  • Halloweentown
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Hocus Pocus
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Halloweentown High
  • Return of Halloweentown
  •  Monster House
  • Twitches
  • Twitches Too
  • The Addams Family

10. Volunteer

During fall is when seasons are changing, and so should our hearts. Instead of going out to a party or gathering, opt for doing community service somewhere. There are several ways to give back to the community. You can volunteer at soup kitchens, churches, afterschool programs, and many other organizations. Be thankful and humble.

11. Have a picnic

Since the sun is always shinning and fall always brings a cool breeze- picnics are perfect! Plan a lunch outdoors at the park, river, or just right outside your house. Make a couple of sandwiches and slice some fruit and voila! Enjoy the outdoors with company by bringing an eno or some blankets to sit on! As far as entertainment come prepared with a deck of cards and board games to really hype things up!

12. Visit a haunted house

It wouldn’t be fall without haunted houses! Haunted houses are a good way to bond with friends over fears. Face yours and visit a haunted house this fall. A lot of the times there are local haunted houses in neighborhoods or churches hosting one, but if you’re really looking for a scare like no other try a main attraction. Here are some places to give a try!

  • Netherworld Haunted House
  • 13 Stories Haunted House
  • Paranoia Haunted House
  • Fear The Woods
  • Containment Haunted House
  • Chambers Of Horror
  • Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse
  • House On Horror Hill
  • Terror In The Square
  • Camp Blood
  • Fright Fest

Wherever you are whatever time of day, spending quality time with the ones you love will always be the icing on the cake. Well there you have it! All of these activities are guranteed to make fall 2016 the best one yet. So now that you’ve got a chalk-full of ideas, what are you waiting for? Gather your friends and family and enjoy some autumn! HCXO!
