What it feels like to be the confidante friend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UWM chapter.

We all have that one friend that you might not tell everything to, but somehow they know your deepest darkest secrets. They’re your go-to girl for any heavy stuff and they always know how to respond. And the best part? You never have to worry about her spilling the beans to anybody else because she ALWAYS has your back. Here’s what it feels like to be the confidante friend.

1. When someone tells you they have to tell you something.

2. When someone needs to get lunch to “vent”

3. How it secretly feels to know things other people don’t know and how fun it is that only you know and nobody else will find out…

4. When your friends are highly prone to making poor decisions, which in turn makes a lot of wine sessions.

5. You always have wine on hand because you never know when you’ll need it…

6. When other people know that you know something and try to get you to spill

7. When someone tells you the “secret they know” that you’ve already known for months.
