What Halloween Movie I Would Recommend Each Zodiac Sign

Although I encourage everybody to watch all the classic Halloween movies, I understand university students are especially busy around this time of the semester. From essays to midterms, university adds a new level of spookiness to fall. The last thing students need is an overwhelming list of Halloween movies to watch. As a Halloween movie connoisseur and astrology enthusiast, I have set out to refine students’ Halloween movie watchlist by providing each zodiac sign with a (totally reliable and accurate) movie recommendation. Here’s what the stars say you should watch this fall:

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) – Halloweentown (1998)

After discovering that she is a witch and her grandmother lives in a monster-inhabited community called Halloweentown, Marnie Piper sets out to save Halloweentown from evil entities. Marnie’s humanitarianism and dedication make this the potentially perfect fit for an Aquarius (Kelly).

Pisces (February 19 – March 20) – The Witches (1990)

In The Witches, a boy named Luke comes across a convention of witches who are plotting to eliminate all children. Luke knows he must stop them. Pisces, an intuitive and sensitive sign, may enjoy The Witches, as this movie allows them to embrace their inner child (Kelly).

Aries (March 21 – April 19) – The Addams Family (1991)

In this classic, a man pretending to be Gomez Addams’ long lost brother, Fester, tries to steal the Addams family’s money. The feisty and bold Aries will love The Addams Family for its eccentric and energetic characters (Kelly).

Taurus (April 20 May 20) – Ghostbusters (1984)

Considered a stubborn and hard-working sign, Taurus will appreciate the Ghostbuster’s effort to establish its authenticity and save New York from an amalgamation of spirits (Talbert and Beringer).

Gemini (May 21 – June 20) – Coraline (2009)

Astrologists consider Geminis dual-natured and versatile (Talbert and Beringer). Geminis’ dual nature aligns perfectly with Coraline, as Coraline discovers a sinister alternate world through a small door in her new home.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22) – Corpse Bride (2005)

In Corpse Bride, Victor Van Dort deals with the repercussions of accidentally marrying a dead woman named Emily. The creepy romance of Corpse Bride is bound to intrigue Cancers, who are said to love love (Talbert and Beringer).

Leo (July 23 – August 22) – Beetlejuice (1988)

After discovering they have died, Beetlejuice’s Barbara and Adam Maitland foolishly elicit the help of Beetlejuice, a menacing spirit, to scare away the family that has moved into their home. Astrologists believe Leos have relentless energy and big hearts, which may lead them to enjoy the bawdy behaviour and unsuspected friendship in Beetlejuice (Brown).

Virgo (August 23 – September 22) – Practical Magic (1998)

Practical Magic follows the story of two magical sisters, Sally and Gillian Owens, who accidentally kill Sally’s abusive boyfriend, Jimmy Angelov. They try to resurrect Jimmy, but he comes back even more evil than before. Practical Magic is perfect for the practical Virgo due to its sensible small-town setting and the Owens sisters’ problem-solving attempts (Kelly).

Libra (September 23 – October 23) – Hocus Pocus (1993)

Hocus Pocus offers excitement for Libras as Max Dennison recklessly summons three witches from the grave who want to use children’s souls to restore their youth. Libras will love the nineties aesthetic, the youthful romance, and the drama of this classic (Stardust).

Scorpio (October 24 – November 21) – The Haunted Mansion (2003)

In The Haunted Mansion, a real estate salesman named Jim Evers interrupts his family vacation to check out an eerie mansion he could sell. Scorpio’s postulated ambition and mysteriousness resonate with Jim’s work ethic and the secrets hiding within the mansion’s walls (Kelly).

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21) – The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

The pumpkin king, Jack Skellington, emulates Saggitarius’ curiosity as he becomes fixated on taking over Christmas in The Nightmare Before Christmas (Kelly). Sagittarius will see the danger of their alleged curiosity, as Jack’s obsession with Christmas leads to an ill fate (Kelly).

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19) – Monster House (2006)

Astrologists peg Capricorns as dedicated and persistent people (Kelly). Capricorns may take pleasure in Monster House, as a boy named DJ dedicates his Halloween to exposing and destroying his neighbour’s malevolent house.
