Erin Gabriel is a third year in the Concurrent Education program, specializing in family relations and early childhood development. she’s a fun and energetic twenty year old from Sarnia, ON. She is a busy person with many, many things on the go, but if you ever catch her be prepared for some fun times. Unfortunately boys, she’s taken.      

 

1. What do you hope to get out of your program?

          she wanted to enroll in this program because: she wished to be more specialized with her degree’s  and Windsor was the only school that offered the early childhood aspect of said degree.

 

2. Are you single or in a relationship?

         “Hella taken”, she has been in a happy relationship for about 4 years now.

 

3. what are you hoping to go into after university?

         She is hoping to go into any job that always her to work with kids, she wants be in a profession that will allow her to influence or change children’s lives for the better. Whether it’s working from school to a recreational center. But the classroom is the dream.

 

4. Is there something you wish to accomplish while still in university?

         When I came to university, I planned to stay involved within the school like I was in high school, and to maintain my position on the honour roll.

 

5. What kind of hobbies are you into?

         my hobby is movies, whether it’s watching or owning them. She is very proud of her collection which has surpassed 500 dvds, and counting.

         She also has a growing passion for cooking new and healthy things.

 

6. Do you have any favorite shows or movies?

– “ohh tough question, my all-time favorite tv show is “chuck” but she would  say no to watching “the Office”.  She can’t decide on a favorite movie, I love them all. But if you want to end me a category I can send you a great couple of recommendations.

– she says “ I can’t even pick a favorite genre I like them all but the scary ones”.

 

7. What kind of music do you prefer, quiet or loud?

         My favorite  genre is indie folk, like Mumford and Sons, or Monsters and men. “I usually prefer to listen to my music quietly, unless it’s  Adele, then I blast that stuff”.

 

8. If you could go to one place in the world, where would you go and why?

         I would 100% go to England, or just drop me off anywhere in Europe. I love everything about all their cultures, from the food, to landscape, and especially their accents.

 

9. Do you have a favorite book or book series?

         “Well I’m obviously a huge harry Potter fan, I’m a Hufflepuff and proud of it. I also really enjoyed the book “ it’s kind of a funny story” by Ned Vizzini, I liked it did a really good job of making mental illness less of a stigma and more approachable, it made mental illness more relatable to everyone”.

 

10.  If you could change one thing about the world what would it be? And Why?

         It’s a hard question because there’s a lot of things of would want to change, it would have to be a tie between 2. First, I would change the education systems, so all people would be allowed to get a proper education. The second would be to make everyone be able to get all the individuals of the world to treat all people equally.
