Prince Harry always seems to amaze us, even all the way across the pond, A true fairytale wedding is in the works for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that will have all of us ready with popcorn at 3 a.m.
1. Wait a minute. Isn’t he still twelve???
You may not know but, Prince Harry, 33, is the younger brother of Prince William, 35, who is the Duke of Cambridge, second in line for the throne after Queen Elizabeth. Prince Harry, however, is now sixth in line to the throne after the announcement of William and Kate’s third child on the way.
2. Who is this Meghan?!?
Meghan Markle is an American actress who plays a lawyer in a US drama show called “Suits” and also acts in different sci-fi shows. Meghan has lived a quiet life as an actress. Her personal life never really hit the tabloids. She is also a United Nations advocate for women who has spoken out about sexism in our culture.
3. WEDDING!!!!
Royal weddings have always been a time for fashion trends to be set that will last for the coming years. The world will be watching every move this couple makes now until May 2018 for this huge arrival of our newest American princess.
4. LET ME SEE THAT RING!!!
The ring that Prince Harry gave to Meghan is one of a kind. The main stone is from Botswana and the diamonds on the side are apart of his mother’s, Princess Diana, jewelry collection. It was a big deal to have his mother who cannot be here today due to her sudden death in 1997.
5. Does the Queen approve??
The Queen’s approval is required for the first six persons in line to the throne. Since Prince Harry is sixth in line to the throne, he still had to ask his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, for approval to marry Meghan since there could still be a chance of Harry becoming King of England if the case were to arise. In many interviews that Prince Harry and Meghan had on Monday with reporters, they said that the Queen did approve of the proposal and marriage of the two.
