There is no better feeling than kindling a warm cup of cup tea, putting on your favorite cold-weather fuzzy socks, and enjoying the crisp, fall air. With that being said, when the gusts of cool wind come, midterms are typically it’s infamous counterpart.  Whether you release your stress by enjoying Thursday through Saturday festivities, take advantage of North Campus’s 24-hour gym, or indulge in the truffles from Legacy Chocolates, I’ve found that herbal teas have been my cure when I need to find my inner “ohm”.

Luckily, if you’re looking for a new tea remedy in order to “de-stress”, Menomonie has a lot of different options.

The Menomonie Co-op: (located at 521 2nd Street) has an entire section dedicated to fellow-tea lovers. Yogi tea, which is my personal favorite, has two types of teas that aide relaxation.

Kava Stress Relief: $4.99 for 16 tea packets.

Honey Lavender Stress Relief: $4.99 for 16 tea packets.

Both help to calm and “aide relaxation”

The Raw Deal: (located at 603 Broadway Street) is known for their broad tea selection. A simple cup of tea from the Deal is $2.06 (including tax) and they do allow for you to keep the hot water coming, while your tea packet is still full of flavor.

Margaret Soother is described as “comforting, relaxing, and delicious” One sip and you can feel your stressors alleviate.

Vanilla Thrilla is a rooibos tea with calming qualities. It’s very easy to sip, and is a great pair when trying to get through tedious assignments.

The Raw Deal has a large selection of black teas. They provide a caffeine boost yet have calming features.
