Why Should I Buy Brands That Are Cruelty Free? Aren’t They Expensive?

I can list off many reasons why you should support companies that sell cruelty free products. But it’s as simple as why not? You don’t need to be a vegetarian to shop more ethically. And no, they aren’t any more expensive than your usual make-up. Cruelty free products come in a wide range of prices, anywhere from $1 to $25. By shopping cruelty free items, you would be supporting great companies that don’t believe in the mistreatment of animals.

Where Can I Find Products That Aren’t Tested on Animals?

Well you don’t have to search far. You can easily find cruelty free brands at your local drugstores. Places like your neighborhood Wal-Mart and Target supply some also. And beauty favorites like Sephora offer even more options. Their merchandise may also include vegan make-up tools, such as brushes only made from synthetic fibers.

How Do I Know If It’s Cruelty Free?

There are several ways to know if a company offers cruelty free products. The most common way is to look for the Leaping Bunny symbol that can be found on the packaging of the products. You may also find additional labels that let you know whether it is vegan or one of PETA’s partners. If you are unsure of whether or not a brand doesn’t test on animals, you can usually find the answer on the company’s website in the FAQ section.

There are many more brands available that are cruelty free, and many that are vegan as well. If you are wondering about others brands that don’t test on animals, PETA has composed a huge list shared on their website.
