Name: Julia Rafferty

Hometown: Lino Lakes, MN

Year: Junior

Major: Retail Merchandising and Management

Julia is currently a Junior majoring in Retail Merchandising and Management who recently studied abroad in London. This school year she plans to keep busy with schoolwork, as well as working as a server and hostess at Log Jam in Menomonie.

HC: What was it like studying abroad in London?!

JR: It was the most incredible time of my life, an experience I will never forget. I would never take back for a moment the chance to study in one of the biggest fashion capitals of the world. It was an incredible privilege that truly opened my eyes to the fashion industry. I would study abroad again in a heartbeat!

HC: What are your favorite things about the Fall season?

JR: My favorite thing about the fall is the weather! Sweater weather is my favorite time of year— the perfect weather to wear one of my favorite fashion items.

HC: Your (pink) hair color is gorgeous, and not something most of us can pull off! What made you decide to do it?

JR: First, thank you! I decided on pink because it is my favorite color. But ultimately I decided to do it because you’re only young once! How many times in life can you get away with pink hair?

HC: What qualities do you look for in a significant other?

JR: When looking for a significant other I really look for someone I can be myself with, and someone I am able to laugh with.

HC: What is an ultimate deal breaker in a relationship?

JR: Trust. If there’s no trust, there is not even a chance at a relationship.

HC: Who’s harder to understand: Guys or Girls?

JR: Girls! Without a doubt. Girls are always looking into “hidden meanings” behind everything guys do. For the most part guys are pretty simple.

HC: What’s the most important thing that you think girls need to remember about dating/relationships today?

JR: Just have fun with it! This is the simplest time in our lives, before we enter the real world, so don’t waste your time on anything that doesn’t make you completely happy.
