5 Unique Gifts to Make Your Boyfriend for Christmas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Stout chapter.

We all know college keeps a person on a tight budget. Which can be hard when you want to get a special gift to give your significant other on Christmas, but don’t have the funds to do so. It is much more meaningful to make him a gift that is special for the two of you.  It’s like they always say, “It’s the thought that counts”. These do-it-yourself gifts are the perfect way to show your boyfriend how you feel about him this holiday season.

Hot Chocolate in a Jar

Sometimes the simple gifts are the best. With just a few ingredients you can make your boyfriend his own hot chocolate kit. A warm cup of cocoa is the perfect excuse for you two to cuddle up and watch a movie together as it’s snowing outside.

Shadow Box

You’ve gone to sports games and been to amusement parks together. A great way to commemorate these memories is to create a shadow box for him. Fill the inside with ticket stubs and notes to each other to remember the good times, or include items from past Christmases together.

Candy Basket

This is a great gift for all the foodies out there. Write notes to go along with boxes of candy to tell him just how sweet he is. Incorporate seasonal candies like candy canes to give it some of the Christmas spirit

Personal Coupons

Sometimes we get used to our guy always paying for dinner. But a way to show you care is to make personalized coupons your boyfriend can use where you are in charge of paying for the date. Include coupons like an ice-skating date or a trip to the Christmas lights to make it perfect for the season.

Date Box

A gift you both can enjoy is the date box. Fill the box with planned dates, one for each month of the year. This a great gift for New Years because it show him you are looking forward to another year together with him.
