You may have missed your alarm and things might not be exactly the way you want them to be, but hey, at least you woke up.

2.     You’re fed

You may not have the best financial situation and sometimes have to order off the dollar menu at McDonalds, but at least you ate.

3.     You have a family

The family that you have may not necessarily be blood related, but they have been there for you in your darkest moments and still love you unconditionally, which makes them family.

4.     You have clothing on your back

The things you wear may not be designer or brand name, but they do the job.

5.     You have a moral compass

You may not always make the right decisions, but deep down, you know right from wrong and ideally where you want to end up in life.

6.     You have somewhere to lay your head at night

It might not be a place of your own or a five star hotel, but it beats laying on the streets.

7.     You generally like who you are

You may not be perfect, but you can find a few qualities in yourself that you certainly appreciate.

8.     You’ve experienced love

The love you have experienced may be lost, but you know the feeling of love and you wont let yourself settle for anything less.

9.     You have been through tough times

Although you’ve experienced hard times, there are all learning experiences and you are tougher now than you were before.

10. You have an education

We all complain and whine about having homework and things that take up our free time, but at least you’re on your way to a successful and knowledgeable life.

11. You have a positive mindset

Things might not always be peachy, but there is always a positive side to a negative situation.

A BMW might be out of the question, but you do have access to some type of transportation, whether it be a bike, bus, borrowed car, or razor scooter.

13. You have witnessed something beautiful

Whether it’s a flower growing out of the sidewalk, a gorgeous view, or a newborn baby, you know how to pick out the beautiful things in life.

14. Quitting isn’t an option

The world can be a dark and tough place to be, but you know there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

15. You realize you look much better with a smile on your face

There are many obstacles that can cause negative emotions, but most of the time you choose happiness and a smile.
