As the NCAA no. 1-ranked tennis player in Division 1 and winner of two ITA All-American singles title, Mitchell Frank is groundbreaking for Virginia tennis and is this week’s Campus Cutie.

What do you like to do when not playing tennis?: When you don’t find me on a tennis court (which is pretty rare), I enjoy hanging out with friends, eating quality food and watching other sports. I try to mix things up when possible but that’s tough to do with tennis.
Do you have a pre-match ritual?: I just can’t wake up on a 0 or 5 with my alarm on match day, it has to be like 8:17. I don’t know why that is but it’s been a ritual for a long time for me. Then I usually just listen to the same playlist before the match and usually I eat the same exact food for every meal as well.
What’s your proudest moment?: Definitely helping to win UVA’s first national championship in tennis this past May. That was an insane feeling to win it for not only our team, but the whole university!
Who is your biggest inspiration?: Biggest inspiration are my parents. They have made endless sacrifices for me to achieve in my life and for that I am forever grateful and will do everything possible to maybe one day repay them, although I don’t know if that’s possible.
Ideal first date: Probably going out to dinner somewhere nice, maybe going to see a movie or going somewhere scenic and just relaxing. I honestly would do whatever though I am pretty easy to please!
Would you ever go on a blind-date?: Sure, I have never been on one but I don’t think it can hurt to try.
Celebrity Crush: Selena Gomez…I have been working all angles on this one and so far have been quite unsuccessful, if anyone knows her please let me know!
What do you find most attractive in someone?: I think a girl’s smile is probably the thing that catches my eye the most. Usually that can tell you a lot, and also just having a very relaxed, but confident personality. I think that is the ideal match for me at least.
What do you find least attractive?: Definitely smoking or lacking any personality…if they don’t have any personality then its struggle city.
What’s something that can always make you smile?: My friends. Whether I am having a good or bad day they can cheer me up right away. I don’t know what I would do without them!
The last movie you saw was: The last movie I saw was Man of Steel I think, I haven’t seen a movie in a while.
