What are you involved in around grounds?
I am a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, where I am the pink out football game chair in Zeta Tau Alpha. I am also a part of College Mentors for kids, a member of the Psychology Society, a member of FeelGood, and I have volunteered at Madison House.
What is one of your favorite things to do around Charlottesville?
My favorite thing to do around Charlottesville would have to be eating!! There are so many good restaurants around Charlottesville: on the Corner, at the Downtown Mall, in Barracks…the list goes on and on. My favorite is definitely the grilled cheese with bacon at the Virginian.
If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
If I could travel anywhere tomorrow I would go to the Greek Isles!
If you could create your dream class at UVa, what would it be?
If I could create my dream class at UVA it would be “How To Be An Adult“. It sounds really boring, but it would be a class that teaches you all the basics of adulting…how to do taxes, how to sow up a hole in your pants, how to change your tire, etc! I think it would be really helpful because right now, I have no idea how to be an adult!
Finally, what is your favorite UVa tradition?
By far my favorite tradition here at UVa is Lighting of the Lawn. It is so beautiful and it’s during my favorite holiday season. When you’re there with so many UVA kids, it makes you feel such a sense of community and pride. I have cried both years I’ve been and I have no doubt that I will cry every year I go!
