One of my favorite parts of Halloween is the decorations. It really doesn’t feel like spooky season to me until there is some form of pumpkin or spider web decoration in my home; now that I am living in my own place and have free reign on what to decorate with, my roommates and I are aiming to keep that tradition, and the Halloween spirit, ongoing. But how do you accomplish that when you are in college and on a budget?

We made our house spooky AND cute for less than 10 dollars with just a trip to the dollar store!

Here are some of my favorite Halloween-themed dollar store decor:

White Spider Webbing and Lanterns

I mean, just look at this!

MORE Spider Webbing and Homemade Construction Paper Bats

It serves as the perfect photo background!

Giant Pumpkin

Enough said.

Yet Another Decorative Spider Web

With sparkly purple spiders!

Halloween-Themed Garland

Accompanied by string lights and a tapestry, that no college girls’ home is complete without.

PINK String Lights

Just another necessity.

There is nothing better than ending a day of stress and schoolwork with a Halloween movie marathon in our spooky, yet strangely comforting, living room. And the fact that I didn’t hurt my wallet doing so only makes it that much better.
