As spooky season almost comes to an end this year, many have partaken in the traditional activities of sharing ghost stories and dressing up in costumes to give both scares and laughs. However, there’s so much more to experience this Halloween season, especially offered by the city of San Antonio to give you a new fright.

fright fest

Normally, Six Flags is known for screams from their towering roller coasters. However, when this season approaches, the park morphs into a center for frights. The foggy attraction comes with dedicated actors in elaborate costumes. From personal experience, it was indeed an eerie experience as I wasn’t sure what was lurking around the next corner or behind me.

meger hotel

The Menger Hotel is an unofficial supernatural attraction of San Antonio. The infamous hotel reigns as the oldest continuously operating hotel west of the Mississippi. Its long history of hauntings has also led it to be a beacon for those looking for paranormal experiences. If you’re looking for a ghostly scare, consider booking a night!

13th floor haunted house

The 13th Floor is one of the most popular haunted houses in the city, and nationally recognized as being one of the best in the country. This is for good reason, as the changing themes and dedicated actors keep partakers on their toes. This year’s themes include Bad Blood, a feud between Vampires and Werewolves, and The DollMaker.

ripley’s haunted adventure

The name might sound familiar as it is an additional attraction with Ripley’s Guinness World Record. These multi-million dollar attractions are open 365 days of the year that involve a mix of live actors and special effects to give you a bone-chilling scare. Additionally, with the World Record attraction, Ripley’s also offers Tomb Rider 3D (that while not meant to be scary, is an interactive special effects adventure that can be partaken in as well)
