At last, the best time of the year: When it finally starts to get a little bit cooler in San Antonio and all of the fall decor is coming out. In the month of October, there is nothing better than watching Halloween movies. Technically, you can watch them all year round, BUT there is a much different vibe when you watch them during the month of October. Here is a list of a few movies that are a must-see for me each year. Some scary and some funny, I’ve got a movie for whatever your preference is.

Sinister (2012)

It’s one of the very few movies that was actually scary to watch…

Monster House (2006)

As much as I love scary movies, funny cartoons are always a must. I can’t go a year without watching this staple.

The Hunt (2020)

A horror-thriller movie that surprises you by just how funny it can be.

Lights Out (2016)

Yet another scary movie that freaks me out. Although rated PG-13, I refuse to watch this movie alone.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010)

As a sucker for dumb comedy movies, this is a definite yes when October rolls around. However, it makes me never want to go camping.

So, kick off the holiday season with some good Halloween movies and get into the spirit of the spooky season. Mwah-ha-ha!

Howdy! I'm Cassie and currently a senior studying Environmental Science getting little sleep throughout the semester. I love spending time with my dog, taking naps when I have time, and hiking the beautiful outdoors:)
