Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time with friends or even out on a date but sometimes I need alone time. It’s almost like my social battery needs to be recharged. I can’t be the only one who feels this way sometimes. I found that taking myself out for some me time helps me recharge and remember what is important. So, if you also need a reset, here are 3 Salt Lake spots perfect for a date with yourself:

Publik Coffee

Publik Coffee is a popular spot in for many in the city but it is my personal favorite for some me time. In the spring and summer months the Avenues location has a lovely little patio, perfect for sipping on some coffee and reading a book. There are also quite a few cats that hangout around the shop and aren’t shy to say hello. I would also recommend trying their hot cocoa during the winter months (it comes with a roasted marshmallow)!

Gourmandise Bakery

Great food, better pastries, and an even better patio. Gourmandise is the best me time lunch hangout. Throughout the warmer months, Gourmandise has one of the best patios in the city. I love sitting out there and enjoying a sandwich and a glass of cold freshly made lemonade. Finish the perfect date with the perfect treat. Gourmandise is known for their bakery and they have endless options. I recommend the tiramisu.

Get crafty (Color Me Mine & The Gem Studio)

My absolute perfect me date is something where I can be crafty. Color Me Mine and The Gem Studio are two locations in Salt Lake that allow you to do just that. Color Me Mine is a pottery painting studio where you can make yourself everything from the perfect mug to the best ice cream bowl. They often have discount days so be on the lookout for those. The Gem Studio is a fun jewelry making shop where you can customize a ring, bracelet, or even a necklace that is all your own. I actually haven’t had a chance to stop by here yet, so you might be able to catch me out enjoying some jewelry soon!

A bonus spot for some me time is going to the movies. By going alone, you don’t have to worry if another person is actually enjoying the movie and you can munch on snacks stress free with the movie of your choice. There are countless other spots around the city for some quality me/you time and so many more to be discovered. So, go out and explore!
