Easy and Crafty Homemade Bath and Body Presents

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

I don’t know about all of you, but I’ve definitely got a lot of friend’s and family member’s birthdays coming up soon in the spring… and if you’re anything like me, you’re going to be panicking about not having a present the night before their birthday. I love giving hand-made presents because they are a lot more personalized and thoughtful, but they often are also pretty cheap to put together, too! I wouldn’t consider myself a very “crafty” person, but I’ve found making all of these particular presents is really easy—and they end up looking so cute that you’ll even want to give yourself these presents.

1. Tub Tea

These smell heavenly when soaked in a hot bath, and can be reused!

Mix two cups of Epsom salt, 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 cup of powdered milk, 12 drops of rose essential oils, and rose petals or other flower petals together. Place them in a simple canvas drawstring bag, and you’re good to go!

2. Honey Scrub

Mix ½ cup of honey and ¼ cup of olive oil into a clear glass jar. Once those are thoroughly combined, add 1 cup of sea salt and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. This scrub literally only takes minutes to make, and your face feels really refreshed afterward—making it a perfect and simple gift for a friend! It’s really cute and easy to decorate the glass with twine and paint pens.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar Face Toner

This one sounds kind-of far fetched—but apple cider vinegar is loaded with beneficial acids, and is an antiseptic and antibacterial and can help with acne and eczema. Mix one part apple cider vinegar with four parts distilled water, and add brewed herbal tea or essential oils if desire. Package it up with some other spa essentials, and you have a great and easy present for any girlfriend!

Some other easy gifts I’ve given to various friends and family members are nice soaps packaged with extra cloth and twine, and cheap bamboo or cactus plants that are easy to maintain in a hand-decorated flower pot.
