Date Night With Me, Myself, and I

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

Whether you’ve had a string of bad dates or just need something fun to do by yourself, look no further because we have the perfect list for me-time dates. No matter what mood you’re in you can find a fun activity to do where you don’t have to worry about looking perfect or saying all the right things. You can learn to love spending time with just yourself and feel confident in saying “Table for one!”

If you’re feeling fun:

Your spirits are high and the bathroom mirror just isn’t cutting it anymore. You can’t wait for the weekend to go out and show off your dance moves. Well, don’t fight that urge. Go ahead and take advantage of the free dance classes offered on campus. No experience or partner necessary, just be prepared to have fun and look a look a little silly.

If you’re feeling stressed:

Between school, work, and friends sometimes you need some rest and relaxation to rejuvenate. Treat yourself to a relaxing afternoon of manis & pedis, and don’t forget to stock up on the latest gossip magazines for an escape from reality.

If you’re feeling sad:

So you’ve had a bad week and need something to cheer you up. Head down to the local animal shelter and play with all the cute puppies and kittens. Unconditional animal love and those cute, little faces will be sure to lift your spirits! Who knows, you might end up taking home a furry friend!

If you’re feeling artistic:

There’s no better way to get your creative juices flowing than stopping by Color Me Mine. Paint a colorful coffee mug to add to your ever growing collection with a design that’s all your own.

If you’re feeling fancy:

You don’t have to wait around for a guy to make you feel special. Clear your Saturday night, dress in your best outfit, and take yourself out for the evening. Make reservations at that chic French bistro you’ve always wanted to try and sample desserts. Yum!

If you’re feeling adventurous:

Want to do something bold? Plan a weekend road trip complete with snacks and the best playlist you’ve ever made! Take your time and go explore all those little tourist towns you would normally pass through. Go on morning hikes and sunset drives, just be sure to tell your friends where you’re going.
