10 Best Things About Living in Lassonde Studios

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

Lassonde is a college students dream. Being able to be apart of such an amazing community of entrepreneurs has already been one of the best experiences I’ve had at the U, here is why!

1. Location, Location, Location

Lassonde couldn’t be in a better location. It is a 4 minute walk to the Union (yes, I timed it), and almost just as close to the Library.

2. Being able to live with people who have similar interests

Lassonde has 4 resident floors, each floor has a different theme.

3. Getting the resources you need to create a company in college without paying extra

Yeah, your rent and tuition covers this. Everything you need to design a product and build a prototype are just a few floors away.

4.The Food

Usually when you think of dorms you think of the HC, but Lassonde offers a unique cafe where residents (and those with flex dollars) can grab breakfast, lunch, or a late night snack!

5. Parking Everywhere

And fewer tickets! Lassonde residents have one of the biggest parking lots on campus at their disposal.

6. Collaborative Space

The building was designed with groups in mind, making it very easy to find a space where you and all your friends can work on homework and projects.

7. Workshops and Events

Being able to attend workshops and events in your building that can directly help with your major is a nice bonus.

8. The Balcony on the Second Floor

Who doesn’t love this?

9. The Coffee

Locally rosted medium and dark roast that helps you jumpstart your day! (Bring your own mug and it is only $1.50)

10. The Harambe Memorial Board on the 5th Floor

Gone but not forgotten.
