What is it that you like about USFSP? Why did you transfer from UCF?
I love the small, close-knit community that USFSP provides, which is why I transferred. I feel like I go to a private school!

How did you get involved in Student Life?
I first got involved by getting a job on campus as a Student Assistant within Student Life & Engagement. After working for a few months, I slowly got introduced to other leadership positions and was recommended for a few. Introductions and recommendations turned into secured positions which then later turned into other positions and the rest is history. Some say I am “over-involved” but I think it’s made me a better person and lead me to my chosen career path.

Favorite place on campus?
It’s a tie between the Waterfront and the area where my office is because the suite of Multicultural Affairs and Programming is always full of laughter and good times.

What’s the first thing you think of in the morning?
“Where’s my Blackberry? I need to check e-mails, Facebook, Twitter and my schedule for the day.”

Describe your average day.
My average day depends on a few things. If I have an event that I am directing, then it’s quite busy. I have class at odd times four days a week so I am usually in and out of my office packing things for the event, making last minute calls and getting things organized. The events for my division of the activities board are always at night and go pretty late so the day could start at like 10am and end at 12:30am. No day is the same though for me.

Advice for incoming freshmen?
Take some time to decide what you want your experience to be. Your college experience can be customized to you and your interests. Always make sure school is your number one priority but don’t forget to take some time to yourself every once in a while.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Working in Student Activities at a college or university somewhere in the country. Doing what I love!

What’s your favorite drink?
Hmm, I love some peach tea but my lifeline is usually Starbucks or energy drinks. :)

Favorite TV show?
I like a lot of shows but I never miss Chelsea Lately.

Favorite movie?
Mean Girls – best movie ever.
