Let’s Get Stacking: Bracelets Are Back!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFSP chapter.

I hope I am not the only one that struggles pulling an outfit together. I always fall back on the same pair of earrings or my favorite bracelet that I have already worn every day for the past two weeks. It is so easy to get stuck in a jewelry rut, but I encourage you all to try bracelet stacking in hopes to break out of the same old thing! I know people have been doing what is now known as “bracelet stacking” for some time now, but I only recently got into it. I had never really bought jewelry for the purpose of wearing it with other pieces at the same time, so it took me awhile to build up a collection that would work together with multiple looks. Something that is so great about jewelry stacking is the versatility: by changing out one bracelet, you can easily go from day to night. Some of my favorite stacks always include my Michael Kors watches, my silver heart bracelet, and my sideways cross bracelet.

When I wake up and decide what I want to wear I stand in my closet for what feels like an hour, and finally make a decision. Once I have my outfit ready, I head over to my jewelry drawer and begin the decision making process all over again. Do I want silver or gold jewelry? Do I want to wear a watch today? Should I wear studs or longer earrings? Now that I know how to stack bracelets, I find myself piling them onto my wrist and I am good to go!

Stacking bracelets allows you to bring color and texture to an outfit without having to do too much. If you pair your bracelets well enough, you would not need to add any other jewelry because you’ve already got your statement piece! I’ve included some of my favorite bracelet stacks, but we want to see your pictures too! Post them in the comments below or on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HerCampusUSFSP to share them with our other readers!
