Hi, Marc! Thanks for taking time out of your insanely busy schedule to be Campus Celebrity! Tell us, what clubs and activities are you involved in on campus?
Hi! I’m currently involved with Campus Activities Board as the Street Team Director. This is my second year as an Executive Board Member with this position and I absolutely love it. I am also the VP of Programming for ASUSF Greek Council, this is my first year in this position and I can’t wait to see how I can develop and make a difference with this position. I also serve as the Recruitment Chair for Phi Delta Theta. I am in charge of the expansion and growth of my fraternity and head all the recruitment events and communication with potential new brothers. Oh, and I’m also a Team Leader for GO Team. This role allows me to work with new students and help with the transition and welcome to USF.
And which of these activities has had the biggest impact on you?
GO Team has definitely had the biggest impact on me. Without it my college career would be so so different. I met some of my best friends through GO Team and it really has opened my eyes and heart to so much. I have learned so much about others and myself through the training and the experience. The orientation team here at USF is so unique and beautiful in that way, you grow and take so much away from it. GO Team has helped me network with others and make connections and friendships that I cherish so much. I can honestly say everyone that was a part of my GO Team experience has such a special place in my heart and without them I would not be who I am today. Those individuals have definitely shaped me and in that way impacted me significantly.
If we were to look for you on campus, where would you most likely be found?
UC 4th Floor without a doubt. I wish I could say the library or off campus because I’m so caught up in San Francisco. But I am so caught up with my clubs and organizations and the Student Orgs is where it is at. UC 4th has its own rhythm and the best, most inspiring, hardworking people on campus are there; trust me you would love them.
Do you have a spirit animal? If so, what?
A Sloth. Sloths are the most beautiful creatures in the world. The first time I saw one I felt a piece of my soul align with them. Just kidding, but they are really interesting, like the fact that they are upside down all the time and they are magnificent swimmers (just like me or I would like to think so) and they just like to chill and hangout. Besides being lazy they are super cool and they are the most huggable looking things ever.

What words would your best friends use to describe you and why?
Kind, Aspiring, Ambitious, Inspiring
According to my best friends, I try really hard and I try to inspire others with my kindness and my ambition. I want others to feel loved and feel important. I try to go out of my way to make others feel that way.
What events (Greek, CAB, or otherwise) are you looking forward to most this semester?
All of them! I can’t wait to prove people wrong that think I am going to fail and mess up. I want others to feel inspired by my actions and want to step up and even do a better job than me. I can’t wait to see who I inspire and what impact I leave behind here at USF.
Do you have any advice for this year’s incoming freshmen?
Get involved, try out everything USF offers, talk to your academic advisors, grab coffee or lunch with your professors, make new friends, say hi to random people, sit with random people in the cafe, ask people in line how they are doing and where they are at in life, step out of your comfort zone and see where it takes you. Everyone is thinking the same things and wondering the same thing so just open yourself up a little and see where that takes you.
