1. What is your story deciding to come to the University of South Florida?
“Deciding for college was a big milestone in my life. I chose USF because of several different reasons. One of these reasons was I wanted to stay local because of my family and friends. The transition from High school and College was a bit threatening to me and I didn’t like the idea of being far away. Another determining factor was USF’s outstanding medical programs. I am currently trying to obtain a degree in the medical field and I feel as if USF is the right place to be. The final reason why I chose USF is because the community is welcoming and makes me feel like I’m at home.”

2. How are you involved on campus?
“I could say that I’m a pretty outgoing person. On campus specifically, I am part of several different organizations. I am currently Social Chair for FASCINATE an Interest Group for an Asian Interest Sorority. I am also involved in Asia (Asian students in America) and AFS (Association of Filipino Students). I have also participated in Community Service Events such as Community Plunge and Ghandi Day. I also have participated in Intramural Sports for the last two semesters.”

3. What are some of your goals after college?
“After obtaining a Nursing Degree and graduating college, I hope to get married and have a family. I am also considering furthering my education and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. As a nurse, my goal is to give back to the community and save lives one life at a time.”

4. How do you feel about being a female student on campus?
“As a student, I feel proud to be a female student at USF. I hope by being the best I can, younger females entering college will look up to me as their role model. My goal is to teach other females how to present themselves in a respectable way and how to be a positive example to others. By physically acting on this, I can teach by example. “

5. What do you look for in a guy?
“When I look for a guy, I look for a guy that’s just like my father. I want a man who has a job, is confident in himself. I want a guy who isn’t insecure and immature. I want a guy who is hardworking and doesn’t give up until he succeeds. A guy who isn’t easily tempered but a guy who is patient and sweet. When I look for a guy I want a guy who will love me for who I am and not who he wants me to be. I want a guy who will love and protect me but at the same time also give me enough space to enjoy myself without always being around him. I want a guy that will trust me and won’t control me. I want a guy who will respect and support me and my aspirations in life.”

6. If you could give a guy one piece of advice about women, what would it be?
“If I could give a guy one piece of advice about women, it would be that we want attention all the time. Sometimes we will act mad and hang up the phone when we’re arguing with you but majority of the time we are just waiting to see if you’ll call back. A lot of times we are just testing to see if you really care or how badly you’ll fail. Most girls enjoy attention more than others but every girl wants to feel like she’s on a pedestal. So never give up trying to convince her how much you care! “

7. What are some of your hobbies/talents/skills?
“On my free time, I love to dance. I have been dancing for 16 years starting at the age of 4. It’s become more than just a talent but a passion now. I also love playing sports, I have been playing soccer for 4 years and basketball since 8th grade. Aside from playing sports physically, another thing I enjoy is video games specifically FIFA and things like that. However on a more relaxed note, I also enjoy volunteering at non-profit organizations on my free time. I enjoy and love giving back to the community and helping out to those in need. I’m more of a laid back type girl so I can’t really say I “love” shopping like most girls but I do enjoy it. The most important thing I enjoy doing on my spare time is spending time with my family and friends. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today.”

8. What is one interesting fact that many people may not know about you?
“The most interesting fact people don’t know about me is that I have already nearly traveled the whole world. I have been to 46 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, Asia, and most of Europe. I plan to complete the world’s geography when I graduate college.”
