FASHION FRIDAY: Top 15 Accessories for Under $15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

Hey collegiettes™! In the vein of last week’s post on Top Beauty Products Under $10, we’re bringing you 20 of fall’s top accessories on a budget. Style is all about incorporating trends into a cohesive look that is distinctly individual–and this fall, it’s easy to add some contemporary fashion into your signature look with these four trends.

Individual product information can be found on Polyvore.
Gold embellishments are a trend that is in full force this season with the “rebel” vibe given at fashion houses like Saint Laurent. Studded snapbacks pair with buffalo plaid and wedged sneakers for a modern, urban edge to a quintessential 90’s look. Finger gloves (for all the silver-lovers) add more of a rocker edge to an otherwise feminine outfit, from chiffons to lace. In a similar fashion, this studded corset belt looks incredible with maxi dresses and chiffon tops. To embrace the classic look, spice up the typical hair bow with some embellishments for a subtle touch of rebellion. The featured headband adorably features cat ears with circle studs, pairing perfectly with cozy knit sweaters for allnighters at the library. As a bonus, add some flair to your phone with a gold-studded silicone case.

On the other side of the spectrum, grey is making a huge statement this fall. The featured marled turban looks super cozy and bohemian with curly or wavy hair, and fashion-forward with stick straight tresses. Adding textured knits, like this fringed infinity scarf (center) is another option to add dimension to your outfit. Art-deco inspired earrings like these (which are slightly above $20) add Gatsby-inspired glam to an evening outfit, or to a casual look paired with the pictured turban and a burgundy top. These gloves bring the stud trend into the mix to add a chic, city girl vibe (while keeping you very, very warm). For the minimalists, this envelope clutch adds the trend color but keeps within the style.

Move over, diamonds–this season, pearls are a “girl’s best friend.” Although not an accessory, this chambray shirt has embellished pockets to elevate 8 a.m. classes from comfortable to fashionable when paired with burgundy jeggings and riding boots. For an ethereal and bohemian look, add this pearl headress to a maxi dress with some wavy hair to transform into a goddess. In a completely different look, this choker is trademark Jackie Onassis when worn with a boatneck sweater or chic with sleeveless crop top. However, the gold, emerald and pearl bracelet can be worn with any style and look great. BONUS: add pearls to your nails with this NYX Precious Pearls manicure kit!

Along with studs, geometric-inspired patterns are here to stay. Bold belts with a chevron pattern make a statement, as does this gold tribal-inspired bib necklace. Another necklace in the geometric trend is this $5 steal from Charlotte Russe, featured, which also channels art deco. The clutch (bottom right) is over $20, but fits in subtly with the trend for a versatile addition to your wardrobe. Lastly, this weathered silver contraption is actually an ear cuff–a new iteration of ear jewelry that is ultra edgy, but is still subtle.
