Spring may seem far away, but it’s actually right around the corner! Why not be prepared and start practicing the must-have look for Spring 2014: blue eye shadow.  This outstanding color will take your outfit to a whole new level.  It may remind you of your fun childhood days when you were taking your mom’s make up, but now you have the chance to prove you can pull off this trendy style as an adult.

Blue is known for being a reflective and calm color. Combining shades of azure, aqua, sapphire and sky can help you create a disco-like look. Remember, in order to rock your awesome make-up you have to keep other make-up to a minimum and let your eyes really stand out. Be sure to focus on the eyes; you don’t want to walk around with your face looking like a little girl who just started to use make up. Too many vivid hues can create a busy effect, but still try to be bold and adventurous!

Take a few minutes and search for the beauty looks presented by Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week 2014. After studying the looks, you deserve a moment of play time to explore the look. Practice makes the master! Don’t worry if it takes a while to be perfect. Just have fun and create a statement with your eye shadow. Simple but edgy eyes will totally capture the attention throughout campus.

As for accessories, if it’s night it’s totally acceptable to go big with jewelry. Make sure you don’t overdraw the main point. For a day around campus it’s better to let the eyes do their work. Simple accentuation will compliment your fabulous creation.

Pre-Spring Break 2014 can serve as an opportunity to hang out with your girlfriends and throw an amazing make-up party. Having a good time and developing a new skill sounds like fun. Good luck ladies!

Collegiettes™ don’t forget Spring 2014 is all about blue!
