I’m a Sex Abuse Survivor

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USC chapter.

I would go into all the details but really, I don’t think anyone would want to know.

There seems to be a stigma surrounding abuse survivors. I know this because every time I tell people it’s like all of a sudden they don’t know how to act around me.

I don’t think there’s any shame in admitting it. It wasn’t my fault. I didn’t do anything wrong.

To all you other abuse survivors out there, it’s not your fault either.

I hope one day you all feel strong enough to tell your stories.

But for now…here’s mine.
