This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USC (AU) chapter.

USC AU’s Beauty Correspondent from Western Australia, Brittany Sykes, who owns her own beauty business, Allure Beauty Salon (and is only 20!) shares her beauty secrets and do-it-yourself tips just for you! Her DIY tip of the month is: Beautiful Luscious Locks!

“Ditch the chemicals and expensive treatments,” Brittany says, “Your home cupboards hold the key to keeping your tresses naturally gorgeous.”

The Ingredients:
•1 ripe avocado
•1/2 cup coconut milk
•3 teaspoon olive oil

What to do:

1.Mash the avocado completely.
2.Add the coconut milk and olive oil, stirring rapidly to combine it all.
3.Warm up your mask on the stovetop until it’s slightly warm.
4.Apply the mask from roots to ends, massaging it into your scalp.
5.Leave on for at least thirty minutes or as long as you can, and then wash your hair.

So there you have it! Five simple steps for beautiful hair! If you would like to contact Brittany for any more tips, keep checking USC AU’s Blog section or email Brittany at: brittany.sykes@hotmail.com or check out the Allure Beauty Salon facebook fan page.
