“We just… click.” The three words to describe any best friend relationship. Whether it started in middle school, or you and your college roommate hit it off the first week of life in college together, she’s the one who knows the most, has been there through everything, and knows your favorite flavor of ice cream before you even order it. Here are 10 reasons why your best friend, is your best friend:
1. Who else would you eat late night pizza with? After a late night out and you are craving that late night local pizzeria, your best friend is always the one to be down to split the price and devour it in only one sitting.
2. She’s always the shoulder to cry on. Whether it’s your boyfriend that won’t stop irritating you, you failed that chemistry exam, or whatever the reason may be, she will always there to lift your spirits up. Maybe even do a little online shopping together? A new romper from Forever 21 can replace boys and exam scores, lets be real.
3. You’re going out, and you’re going to like it. Not just like but LOVE it. Your best friend is the one to drag you out to a party, even though you rather spend the night in bed binge watching Netflix.
“C’mon, it’s a Monday night.”
“Monday, Friday, same thing. Get going girlfriend, you’ve got some getting ready to do.”
4. Adventure partner. Ever feel like you’ve had the most adventurous morning, but really all you did was get breakfast, stop for coffee, and listen to music on the beach? All because your best friend did it with you it made it that much more the adventure. She will be the one to put her homework aside and take a long Saturday adventure and exploration with you, wherever it may be.
5. No judgment zone. You know she’s your best friend when you can admit that you ate an entire pint of Ben and Jerry’s chocolate ice cream before bed and she says the same. Whatever it is that you have to get off your chest, your best friend will always take your side.
6. Car rides or concerts? You both love the same music and car rides are something to look forward to because you jam out together. People on the road might even mistake you for Beyoncè and Niki Minaj. No pictures, please!
7. You’re more like sisters. The “I’m here!” text doesn’t even exist. You both should probably have a house key to each other’s houses’ because you just walk right through the door, anyways. She’s invited to all your family events, and visa-versa. Maybe even the next Christmas card will include you.
8. You always have a workout buddy. So now you’ve devoured that extra large pizza, and you both are feeling like the gym should fit into your schedule tomorrow. Your best friend is the one to support your love for pizza (while supporting her own) but will give you motivation to be healthy, also.
9. Shopping addicts. Your best friend will know that you have almost nothing in your bank account (broke college student problems), but will encourage you to buy those new winter heels, anyways. After all, you do have to look good, right?
10. She will always be there for you. Whether it’s having a movie night, going out, doing homework, making your favorite desserts together, talking about life, or reminiscing on everything from the past, your best friend is always the one who will do it with you. When everything else fails, she won’t!
